Sarah Cain

A native of the Ottawa Valley region with a Licentiate in Civil Law from the University of Ottawa, Sarah Cain first joined the Cain Lamarre team as an articling student in 2016. Following her 2017 swearing-in, she joined the Municipal and Environmental Law team, where she serves a clientele mainly made up of municipal organizations. 

Mrs. Cain stands out for her in-depth understanding of the legal issues related to her areas of expertise, enabling her to meet all her clients’ needs. She is equally skilled at drafting complex legal opinions and representing her clients before various judicial bodies.  The relationships of trust that she develops with her clients enable her to support them in the realization of their projects each day.  

Over the course of her career, Mrs. Cain has already made significant contributions to the legal field by teaching courses, publishing articles, and participating in various conferences. She frequently works with municipal associations, including the Fédération québécoise des municipalités and the Association des directeurs municipaux du Québec to provide training for municipal clients. In addition, Mrs. Cain has taken part in several conferences and panels on municipal and environmental issues, including a panel at the National Climate Action Forum. Outside of her legal practice, she loves to recharge her batteries outdoors by mountain biking, hiking and enjoying winter sports.
