Antoine Michaud-Soret

Antoine Michaud-Soret was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2024 after joining Cain Lamarre in Montreal in 2019. For the past several years, he has been advising and supporting his clients in all their commercial and tax issues. His involvement ranges from the acquisition of companies to the drafting of contracts, as well as shareholder relations and governance issues. He also deals with corporate and tax organization, ownership structures, business succession, financing and various types of domestic and foreign investments. The combination of his academic training in finance, Commercial law and taxation, as well as his commitment to the Quebec business community, make Mr. Michaud-Soret a valuable asset to his clients.

Among his more notable cases, he has advised small and medium-sized companies in product manufacturing and distribution, franchise networks in the restaurant and retail sectors, private institutional lenders, real estate asset companies and accounting firms. He has also assisted clients with complex tax reorganizations and cross-border transactions, using his expertise to help them maximize their financial and tax benefits. 

Mr. Michaud-Soret holds an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Taxation from HEC Montréal, a Master of Business Law from Université de Montréal and a Bachelor of Laws from Université de Montréal. He also obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montréal in 2009. The combination of his academic training in law and finance, reinforced by his expertise in taxation, enables him to approach his clients’ cases from a multidisciplinary perspective, offering comprehensive, strategic solutions that meet their complex business needs.
