Alexandre Montpetit-Tourangeau

Alexandre Montpetit-Tourangeau, has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2015, and practices litigation, mainly construction and real estate law, at the Val-d’Or office. His expertise includes commercial law and civil and professional liability. Mr. Montpetit-Tourangeau is an exceptional team player known for his remarkable thoroughness. He shows great attention to detail, always going the extra mile to meet and even exceed his clients’ expectations.

Over the years, Mr. Montpetit-Tourangeau has pleaded before the whole range of common law courts, including the Court of Québec, the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal. He has also pleaded cases before public agencies such as the Tribunal administratif du travail and the Commission des transports du Québec. His reputation as an expert is confirmed by the many courses he has taught for the Association de la construction du Québec and the Association provinciale des constructeurs d’habitations du Québec, as well as his participation as a speaker at Cain Lamarre colloquiums on construction law.

Mr. Montpetit-Tourangeau holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the Université de Montréal. He is also actively involved in his community. He has taught several courses on project and work site management for the Association de la construction du Québec, covering the legislative, normative and regulatory framework of the industry, as well as the warranty plan for new residential buildings. He has also delivered lectures for the Association provinciale des constructeurs d’habitations du Québec on labour relations, legislation and regulations. In addition, Mr. Montpetit-Tourangeau gives back to his community by participating in the Val-d’Or Optimist Club, where he has been a director since 2022 and vice-president since 2023. He is a fan of soccer and music, and enjoys playing the piano in his spare time.
