Originally from Quebec City, Audrey Poirier is a bilingual lawyer with dual Canadian and American citizenship. She has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2021, the same year she joined Cain Lamarre. She practices in Aboriginal law, with a focus on Aboriginal rights, self-government and economic development, as well as in youth protection law in Nunavik.
Mrs. Poirier stands out for her efficiency, open-mindedness and sense of adventure. Her dependability and enthusiasm are appreciated by both her clients and her colleagues. Mrs. Poirier is dedicated to her profession and is known for her curiosity, creativity and perseverance, qualities that serve her well in her Aboriginal law and youth protection practice.
Over the years, Mrs. Poirier has cumulated a variety of professional experiences. She graduated from the Université de Sherbrooke and worked as a student-at-law in Saskatchewan and Alberta. She has been on the board of directors of the Fédération québécoise pour le saumon atlantique (FQSA) since 2023 and is a practicing member of the Law Society of New Brunswick since 2024. Passionate about nature, she is an avid mycologist, herbologist, hunter and agate collector. Issues related to Indigenous communities, the land and equality are close to her heart, in both her professional and personal life.
