Since the beginning of his career, Guillaume Daigneault has practised mainly in construction law, accumulating a wealth of experience in all areas of this field.

He has been practising at Cain Lamarre’s Sherbrooke office since 2017, where he puts his cutting-edge expertise and practical, detail-oriented approach to work for a diverse client base made up of general contractors, specialized contractors and equipment suppliers. Mr. Daigneault regularly appears before various courts including the Court of Appeal, the Superior Court, the Court of Québec and administrative tribunals. He also specializes in the statutory rules governing the construction industry. He has overseen a number of cases related to the contractor licensing system managed by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec, a sector in which he is recognized for his strategic approach.  

Mr. Daigneault stands out for his professional rigour when managing complex projects. He is renowned for his commitment to offering his clients practical, customized legal solutions. As a lecturer and trainer, he regularly shares his knowledge of Construction Law, thus contributing to the continuing education of other professionals in the sector.  

He has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Université de Sherbrooke. In addition, he has taught various courses through the training program offered by the Association des professionnels de la construction et de l’habitation du Québec (APCHQ), and has written over fifty articles and columns related to the construction industry. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Quebec Division, as well as the Association du Jeune Barreau de Saint-François. He is also actively involved in his community, notably as a board member of La Grande Table in Sherbrooke.
