Hubert Crépault has 20 years of experience, and his main areas of practice are Corporate and Commercial Law, corporate finance and not-for-profit organizations. He has extensive experience with small and medium-sized companies operating in various sectors, notably those related to natural resources, such as forestry and mining.

Over the years, Mr. Crépault has assisted with a number of major transactions involving companies in the forestry and mining sector, and has in-depth knowledge of the regulations affecting these industries. He worked for two major firms before joining Cain Lamarre in 2007. He has also shared his expertise by giving numerous talks, notably on collective buyouts and the new Business Corporations Act. He has published articles on relations with First Nations in the context of mining law in Quebec.  

Mr. Crépault graduated from Université Laval with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2002 and is a trademark agent. He is very involved in his community, and currently serves as director and secretary of O’Sullivan College in Quebec City and a director of the Fondation des Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec. He has been invited to speak by the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie and has contributed to numerous conferences and publications on a variety of subjects.
