Jean Soucy

Jean Soucy is a native of Rivière-du-Loup and has been working as a notary in his hometown since 1977. After two years of general practice from 1977 to 1979, he has focused his practice since 1980 on Business Law, Corporate Law, corporate financing, acquisitions, reorganizations, tax and estate planning, and the settlement of business estates. He joined Cain Lamarre in 2018, bringing with him a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of local business needs.

Mr. Soucy is known for his personalized approach and dedication to his clients. He is uniquely qualified to understand the complexities of the business world and offer appropriate legal solutions. His commitment to the profession is also reflected in his contributions to the development of training and procedures in Corporate Law for the Chambre des notaires du Québec. 

Mr. Soucy has a Licentiate in Civil Law, a Master of Notarial Law degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Ottawa. He continues to enrich his practice today by giving back to his community. He has previously been a member and director of the Centre des dirigeants d’entreprise de Rivière-du-Loup, as well as a member of the Club Richelieu de Rivière-du-Loup and the Rivière-du-Loup RCM Chamber of Commerce.
