Joël Beaudoin has been offering strategic advice on economic immigration issues to Quebec employers for many years. Originally from Sept-Îles, he also has experience working for an economic development agency in the Greater Montreal region, which means he has a keen understanding of the economic issues facing companies in both urban and more rural areas. This makes him particularly well qualified to offer advice that is adapted to each client’s individual context.

Since joining Cain Lamarre, Mr. Beaudoin has been a regular speaker and panellist, sharing his expertise on recruiting, welcoming and retaining international workers, as well as best practices in temporary and permanent immigration. He specializes in the acquisition of work/study permits, temporary visas and permanent residency, as well as labour market impact assessments, Quebec Acceptance and Selection Certificates, and assistance with compliance inspections. He was recognized by the 2025 edition of the “Best Lawyers in Quebec” directory for his expertise in immigration law.

Mr. Beaudoin has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2016. He has a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Université de Sherbrooke.
