Josyane Dupont-Bélanger

Josyane Dupont-Bélanger is known for her extensive expertise in Tax Law, particularly for private companies and their shareholders. She works at Cain Lamarre’s Rouyn-Noranda office, where she specializes in tax reorganizations for business transfers, whether in the context of family succession, the integration of new shareholders or the purchase and sale of businesses. Ms. Dupont-Bélanger also has experience helping professionals incorporate their businesses.

Before joining Cain Lamarre, Ms. Dupont-Bélanger worked for a major accounting firm in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, where she developed in-depth expertise in Taxation Law over the years. Her work requires that she be extremely organized. For many of the cases entrusted to her, she must coordinate multiple parties to ensure that transactions are carried out smoothly. This means working in close collaboration with both business lawyers and her clients’ accountants. She is always ready to listen to her clients’ needs and present them with the tax strategy best suited to their particular situation. In addition, her rational, detail-oriented approach and intellectual curiosity mean that she is able to offer practical, sound tax advice for a wide variety of situations.

Ms. Dupont-Bélanger has a Bachelor’s degree and an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences from the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue, and became a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in 2015. With a keen interest in taxation, she chose to pursue her studies in Tax Law at the Université de Sherbrooke in 2016-2017. She also shares her expertise by acting as treasurer of the Maison de l’envol hospice facility in Rouyn-Noranda.
