Kathy Tremblay

Kathy Tremblay is originally from the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region and practises mainly Family and Personal Law in Rouyn-Noranda. After being called to the Quebec Bar in 2013, Ms. Tremblay began her career in Val-d’Or before settling in Rouyn-Noranda. Known for the ease with which she expresses herself in court, she frequently pleads before the Superior Court, the Court of Quebec and the Court of Appeal of Quebec. She takes a straightforward, rigorous, yet human approach. Her clients know she’s not one to mince words, but she also handles her cases with tenacity and respect at all times.

Ms. Tremblay has handled a number of important cases, mainly dealing with family litigation. She is known for her expertise on legal separation and divorce, adoption, filiation, child custody, access rights and alimony. Her involvement in Rouyn-Noranda’s business community, as well as her participation on various boards and committees, are a testament to her high level of professional and personal commitment. Among her notable achievements, Ms. Tremblay has contributed to the protection of children’s rights, the fight against domestic violence and the protection of animal rights, causes that are very important to her.

Ms. Tremblay holds a Law degree from the University of Ottawa and is involved in a variety of community and legal activities. She is chair of the board of directors of the Centre communautaire juridique de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue, outgoing Bâtonnière of the Barreau d’Abitibi-Témiscamingue and co-founder of the Relève en affaires of the Rouyn-Noranda Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
