Katia Sebastiani

Katia Sebastiani is a tax generalist who advises a wide range of clients on all aspects of tax law, including tax, estate and will planning, corporate reorganizations and planning for sale and acquisition transactions. In addition to her tax practice, Ms. Sebastiani has significant experience in Corporate and Commercial Law, regularly providing assistance with commercial transactions and the drafting and negotiation of different kinds of agreements. Her expertise makes her specially qualified to provide integrated, efficient solutions for her clients, combining her knowledge of Business and Tax Law to offer a truly comprehensive service.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Sebastiani worked for several well-known firms in Montreal before joining Cain Lamarre in 2005. Her extensive experience includes assisting with complex commercial transactions and advising on major tax disputes. She has also lectured and published on Tax Law, thereby contributing to the tax community. Her skills and commitment to excellence are reflected in the many distinctions she has received, including an award of excellence in Law studies from the Université de Montréal and the Bronze Medal of the Governor General of Canada.

Ms. Sebastiani has a Bachelor of Laws and an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Tax Law from the Université de Montréal/École des hautes études commerciales (HEC Montréal), and is a member of the Association de planification fiscale et financière and its internal committees. She is also president of the Umbria Regional Association and sits on the board of directors of the Quebec Lung Association.
