A native of Thetford Mines, Marie-Pier Roy has been a member of the Chambre des notaires since 2015 and has been practising in the Sherbrooke office since 2019. Her unusual career path led her to work as a notary with the City of Montreal before becoming the head of the legal affairs department for a private company. With her varied background and experience, Mrs. Roy brings a sense of openness, a meticulous, thorough approach and a sharp eye to the cases she handles.

Mrs. Roy is motivated by a desire to offer high-quality, personalized service, and adapts to meet her clients’ needs. In the field of real estate law, she is involved in both acquisitions and sales for private residences and large building complexes. She also specializes in large-scale title examinations and contributes to the development of the title examination sector in Aboriginal law. In the field of municipal law, she has handled a number of cases including real estate agreements, the creation of public utility easements and tax sales. She also has extensive experience in mining law, particularly with granite quarries. 

Mrs. Roy holds a Law degree and a Master in Notarial Law from the Université de Sherbrooke, and is involved in numerous aspects of community life in the Granit Regional County Municipality, where she lives. She is a director of the Coopérative de Solidarité Lac-Drolet and also sits on her municipality’s urban planning committee.
