Maxime Néron is originally from the municipality of Saint-Charles-de-Bourget in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. He returned to his native region after completing his studies with distinction at Université Laval and his professional training at the Quebec Bar School.

He practises mainly in civil litigation and commercial matters, as well as in the construction industry. In 2013, he became an enthusiastic team member at Cain Lamarre’s Alma office after practising with a local firm. 

He has extensive experience in commercial and corporate litigation, as well as bankruptcy and insolvency. He regularly advises and represents financial institutions, trustees, insolvent companies and creditors in matters of insolvency and reorganization. Mr. Néron stands out for his ability to manage complex cases and provide precise, effective legal advice.  His clients appreciate his professional, detail-oriented approach, as well as his litigation management and negotiation skills.  

Mr. Néron takes local economic development to heart and is actively involved in his community. He is currently a director of the Chambre de commerce et d’industries de Lac-Saint-Jean-Est, where he served as chair between 2020 and 2023, and chair of the Société d’aide au développement de la collectivité de Lac-Saint-Jean-Est. Mr. Néron has also served as a director of Développement économique Alma Lac-Saint-Jean (formerly CIDAL) and as vice-president of the Association du jeune barreau du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.
