Mélissa Potvin

Mélissa Potvin is a lawyer specializing in immigration and citizenship law. She assists Quebec companies and entrepreneurs with a wide range of processes ranging from hiring temporary foreign workers to helping them obtain work and study permits, to implementing recruitment strategies and conducting immigration compliance audits. She also advises individuals on their permanent residence and sponsorship applications for Quebec and other provinces.

Before joining Cain Lamarre, she was a strategic adviser with the economic development agency Montréal International. She takes a very practical approach to immigration issues, which she uses to offer effective solutions tailored to her clients’ needs.  

Mrs. Potvin has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the cooperative program at the Université de Sherbrooke and a Juris Doctor in North American Common Law from the Université de Montréal. In addition to her legal practice, she takes part in conferences and training courses on various immigration-related topics.
