Michel Claveau

Michel Claveau has over 20 years of legal experience. He specializes mainly in commercial and corporate affairs, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance law, and litigation.

His vast experience and wide-ranging expertise enable him to provide invaluable legal advice to a wide range of clients, contributing to the success of their commercial and financial projects. Mr. Claveau is renowned for his rigorous approach and his desire to offer effective legal solutions tailored to his clients’ needs. 

Mr. Claveau has been with Cain Lamarre in Sept-Îles since 1999. He has also led numerous training sessions on security, corporate law and business transfers. His contributions to the legal profession are marked by his commitment to sharing his knowledge and supporting the professional development of his colleagues. His extensive work experience attests to his professional competence and commitment to his clients. 

Mr. Claveau has a Bachelor of Laws from Université Laval and also studied Business Administration at the University of Ottawa. Outside of his legal practice, he has long been involved in the Sept-Îles community, holding leadership roles such as president of the Optimist Club in Sept-Îles, president of the Fondation du Cégep de Sept-Îles, and director of the Sept-Îles Chamber of Commerce. He has also been both president and vice-president of the Société d’aide au développement des collectivités and a member of the board of directors of Élyme des sables. In recognition of his contributions to the profession, he was Bâtonnier of the Côte-Nord region from 2007 to 2009.
