Sandra Ethier has been practising Law since 1998, mainly in Civil Law disputes within Construction Law, Property Law, Inheritance Law, Labour Law, civil liability and latent defects.
Ms. Ethier started out at another firm in Abitibi-Témiscamingue before launching her own practice. She then became a partner at Cain Lamarre’s Rouyn-Noranda office. Her unique methods and comprehensive case management skills enable her to find the best solution to any situation.
Ms. Ethier explores all methods of conflict resolution, including settlement conferences, negotiation and representation before the courts. She has developed particular expertise in identifying her clients’ needs and responding to them promptly and efficiently. She is rigorous, honest and dedicated, and excels at proposing pragmatic solutions. Ms. Ethier has completed the prestigious training program that is required to be accredited by the Quebec Bar as an investigative lawyer conducting workplace investigations. With over 25 years’ experience in conflict resolution and litigation of all kinds, she is able to carry out administrative investigations following complaints of psychological or sexual harassment in the workplace in a professional, courteous, unbiased and non-judgmental manner. Her organizational skills and professionalism are much appreciated by her clients. Ms. Ethier is respected by clients, colleagues and judicial authorities alike.
Highly involved in her community, Ms. Ethier has sat on a number of boards, including those of the Maison de la famille and the Corporation des fêtes pour tout le monde. She has also been vice-chair of the board of directors of Maison l’Envol in Rouyn-Noranda for over 10 years. From 2008 to 2022, Ms. Ethier served as Corresponding Syndic for the Quebec Bar for the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region. She also served as Bâtonnière of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue Bar from 2020 to 2022. Ms. Ethier is truly passionate about her work, but when she’s not practising or talking about it, she also enjoys golf, reading and nature.
