Sylvain Aird

An experienced business lawyer, Sylvain Aird joined the firm in 2025 and focuses his practice on Transactional Law and Securities and Corporate Governance Law. He has 22 years of experience in litigation with publicly traded companies, giving him unique insight into Natural Resources, Forestry, Energy, Mining and Security Law.  

Thanks to his corporate experience, Mr. Aird is able to understand his client’s realities, as well as their organizational challenges and constraints. His strategic vision and pragmatic approach make him a valuable legal and business adviser. Over the course of his career, he has worked on several major cross-border transactions, including the acquisition and sale of companies in Europe and the USA, through which he has developed an excellent understanding of the European and North American legal and business environments. He takes an innovative, proactive approach to helping his clients navigate the ever-changing legal and commercial environments of today.

Mr. Aird has won various awards and been a finalist in several notable legal competitions in Quebec and Canada. Most notably, he received the ZSA award in 2008 for Legal Counsel of the Year – Small and Medium-Sized Legal Departments.
