Louis Ste-Marie, partner, has almost 30 years’ experience practicing labor and employment law. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Cain Lamarre. He counsels employers on individual and collective workplace relations, labor standards, workplace accidents and occupational diseases, occupational health and safety, human rights and freedoms, and administrative law. He regularly represents clients before administrative and law courts over matters of workplace relations. He also represents employers in conciliation proceedings before these tribunals and in collective bargaining.
Louis taught for over ten years at the Québec Bar School, where he gave courses on labor and employment law, workplace accidents and occupational diseases, and negotiating techniques. He also teaches occupational health and safety law at Université Laval's Faculty of Law. He has also been listed in the l'Expert and Best Lawyers in Canada directories since 2011, having been recognized as "Quebec's best occupational health and safety lawyer" in the 2015, 2017, 2020 and 2024 editions.
