Originally from Rimouski, Me William Richard holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a master’s degree in life sciences and law (M.S.V.L.) from Université de Sherbrooke. A young ally with lots of energy, Me Richard practices in litigation, construction law, and health law, more specifically in medical and hospital liability. Me Richard’s practice is also focused on all types of legal recourse, real estate disputes (demarcation, acquisitive prescription), civil liability, and estates.

With a strategic mind and research skills, Me Richard’s approach is distinguished by his willingness to get to the bottom of things by sometimes questioning well-established ways of doing things and thereby thinking outside the box. He favors pragmatic solutions, always in the best interest of his clients, by giving the right information and recommending ways that are appropriate to their situation.

Deeply involved in the region, Me Richard puts to good use his community involvement thanks to his good knowledge of the places and issues of the Bas Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie, the people, the events, and the businesses. As such, Me Richard has a strong focus on litigation prevention, negotiation, and serves as a strategic advisor in the region.

It was very important for Me Richard to return to his native region after his studies. When he is not working on cases, he enjoys being outdoors, along the St. Lawrence River or in the mountains for downhill and cross-country skiing, mountain biking and hiking. Me Richard also plays ice hockey and Ultimate Frisbee. He also enjoys traveling and anything related to craft beer. Among the causes that are closest to his heart are the fight against climate change and financial and food insecurity.
