We are committed to actively contribute to the sustainable transition by collaborating with our clients, partners, and local community to reduce our environmental footprint and maintain our social commitments.

Cain Lamarre is a committed firm guided by fundamental values intrinsically related to this sustainable development policy. We believe in respect and equity, thereby recognizing the importance of treating all stakeholders fairly and equally in our actions and decisions. We value integrity and aspire to positively contribute to our community.

The principles outlined in this document are a testimony of our commitment to make sustainable development an integral part or our business strategy.

This Cain Lamarre Sustainable Development Policy (the “Policy”) reflects our commitment towards the environmental, social, economic and governance issues relevant to our firm given our activity sector, size, and multiple offices across Quebec, and to issues identified by our stakeholders.

The directions proposed by this Policy are aligned with the Quebec standard BNQ 21 000 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

This Sustainable Development Policy applies to all Cain Lamarre offices in Québec.

We are committed to minimize our environmental impact through the adoption of sustainable practices and by favoring awareness and accountability within our firm.

COLLABORATION AND PARTNERSHIP

We understand that we cannot accomplish a sustainable transition alone. We are committed to closely collaborate with our clients, partners, and local community to promote innovating and sustainable solutions.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

We are committed to permanently integrate better sustainable development practices and to search for continuous improvement opportunities in order to reduce our environmental footprint and increase our positive impact in the community.

TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

We are committed to report our sustainable development actions and progress with transparency and responsibility. We will regularly forward the results to our internal and external stakeholders.

STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS

The five following strategic directions will be our main focus for the implementation of our Sustainable Development Policy:

01. IMPROVEMENT OF RESIDUAL MATERIALS MANAGEMENT (RMM)

We will establish initiatives to reduce, reuse, and recycle the waste generated by our operations, by favoring responsible use of ressources and minimizing our waste production.

02. OPTIMIZATION OF THE FIRM’S RESOURCES

We will continue to search for ways to optimize the consumption of our material ressources such as paper, office supplies, and energy, by favoring efficient and sustainable practices.

03. EFFICIENT MANAGEMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND TRAVEL

We encourage the use of sustainable transportation such as carpooling, public transport, biking, and walking to reduce the carbon footprint of our personal and professional travels.

04. INVOLVEMENT IN THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES

We will engage in projects and causes that improve the quality of live of our local communities. We will support social initiatives, environmental projects, and educational programs that contribute to building a more sustainable and supportive society.

05. CREATION OF A STIMULATING AND ACCESSIBLE LIVING ENVIRONMENT THAT PROMOTES HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

We will create a working environment supportive of the health and well-being of our staff by promoting ergonomic workspaces, work-life balance, and skill development.
