Louis-Charles Bélanger has over 30 years of experience and has been a partner at Cain Lamarre since 2014. In recent years, he has also been a member of the firm’s board of directors. With a practice focused on Labour and Employment Law and Occupational Health and Safety Law, he enjoys a solid reputation with employers in both the private and public sectors. In 2024, Mr. Bélanger’s expertise in labour and employment law was recognized at the Canadian level by his inclusion in the Canadian “Legal Lexpert” directory.
Mr. Bélanger is a member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CHRP). In parallel with his professional practice, he has taught university-level courses for the Université du Québec program on Quebec occupational health and safety legislation. He regularly receives invitations from employers, groups, organizations and educational institutions to lead training sessions, panels and conferences on a variety of topics dealing with labour relations and human resources management.
Mr. Bélanger is also involved in his community. He is vice-president of development for the Fondation de l’Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue, and a founding member and board member of the Fondation Martin-Bradley, which provides financial support to organizations working with people affected by mental illness in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. In 2024, Mr. Bélanger and his associate Stephan Ferron co-chaired a major fundraising campaign for La Ressource pour personnes handicapées de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue, raising a record $825,000.
