With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and International Development from McGill University, Me Alix Génier then turned to law and obtained her Civil Law and Common Law degrees from the same university. Her practice in youth protection within Inuit communities reflects the perfect combination of her various fields of interest, as the complexity of human realities fascinates her. Her passion for helping others has guided her diverse academic and professional career.

An avid hiker, in her spare time, Me Génier is interested in local agriculture, food preservation and fermentation.
