Me Catherine Bergeron holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the Université de Montréal, and has been practicing in the Saguenay office since her call to the Bar in 2014. Her practice focuses on labor and employment law, where she advises and represents employers in matters of labor relations and occupational health and safety. She advises employers on disciplinary and administrative measures, labour standards, the drafting of employment contracts and policies, and the interpretation and application of collective agreements. She is accredited by the Barreau du Québec as a lawyer-investigator conducting investigations into psychological harassment in the workplace.
Her practice extends to personal and family law, where she represents and advises individuals in disputes relating to their separation, the division of their patrimonial rights, child custody and support payments. She also handles adoption and inheritance cases, in particular disputes between heirs, successors and liquidators.
Me Bergeron is actively involved in various non-profit organizations whose members are from the community, such as the ÉcolACTion private elementary school and the Association Panda, which helps people living with attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity (ADD/ADHD). She also completed a community internship with the Centre des femmes de Rivière-des-Prairies and was a member of the board of directors of the Jeune Barreau du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.
