Ariane Trottier, a lawyer specializing in tax litigation, was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2017. She supports individuals and companies in disputes with tax authorities at the administrative, judicial, provincial and federal levels. Her practice covers a wide variety of taxation issues, including general taxes, consumption and fuel taxes, withholding taxes and voluntary disclosures. Among other subjects, she focuses on investment tax credits for scientific research and experimental development (SR&ED). Available and dedicated to her clients and colleagues, she knows that you achieve the best results by working as a team.

Curious by nature and always on the lookout for new knowledge, she monitors tax news closely in the interest of keeping her expertise up to date. Her ability to synthesize information enables her to explain complex concepts to her clients in simple terms. Meticulous and determined, she knows that attention to detail can make all the difference in getting the results you want. She is also keen to share her knowledge, teaching tax administration and the principles governing the relations between taxpayers and tax authorities through the Association de planification fiscale et financière.

After completing a Certificate in Business Administration, Ms. Trottier obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She then went on to complete an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Taxation, as well as a Master of Laws in Taxation from HEC Montréal. She also taught as a lecturer in the Advanced Graduate Diploma in Taxation program at the Université du Québec à Montréal from 2020 to 2024. Finally, women’s rights, ranging from inclusion to equity, are particularly close to her heart.
