Catherine Béland has earned a reputation as an expert in condo law, particularly when it comes to helping real estate developers set up new condominiums.
Her expertise includes providing legal advice for syndicates of co-owners, and drafting building by-laws and amendments to declarations of co-ownership. She is a reference in the field, known for her enthusiasm, her strong sense of customer service and her in-depth understanding of the real estate industry.
A winner of the Notarial Merit Award of the Chambre des notaires du Québec in 2021, Mrs. Béland played a key role in the 2019 co-ownership law reform, thus demonstrating her influence and commitment to progress in the profession. Her contributions extend beyond her legal practice, as she is a lecturer with the Université de Sherbrooke’s Master of Notarial Law program. She is also a speaker, trainer and author, and was given a Rising Star Award by CREW Montreal in 2017.
