
Charles Brassard

Charles Brassard is a native of Saguenay, and joined Cain Lamarre’s business law team in 2011. Mr. Brassard has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2008 and specializes in Business Law, particularly Commercial Law, Corporate Law, Real Estate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions.
His clients include non-profit and parapublic organizations. Mr. Brassard is known for his professionalism, conscientiousness and commitment. He is an excellent negotiator who loves to work as part of a team to achieve the best outcomes. He favours regular meetings with frequent follow-ups to stay close to his clients and ensure that communications are smooth and effective.
Mr. Brassard has made his mark not only through his legal practice, but also through his academic and community involvement. He believes strongly in the importance of combining legal education and practice, gives lectures on business structures and leads information workshops for start-up entrepreneurs as part of his partnerships with a variety of entrepreneurship organizations.
He holds a Master of Business Law degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Université Laval. One of the highlights of his academic career was receiving the Jacques-Deslauriers Scholarship for his Master’s degree essay on dispute resolution in the financial sector. In addition to his role as a lawyer, Mr. Brassard sits on the board of directors of several organizations. He actively participates in networking activities in his region, strengthening his ties with the community and keeping abreast of local issues.
