Étienne Coutu

A native of the Estrie region, Mr. Étienne Coutu practices business and tax Law at the Sherbrooke office.   

He takes a strategic, practical approach tailored to each client’s specific circumstances. His guidance is based on a rigorous analysis of the facts and a deep understanding of the client’s business objectives. 

In addition, Mr. Coutu places particular emphasis on providing clear advice to enable informed decision-making, even in the most complex situations.  

Among his past achievements, he has advised on the tax aspects of a multi-billion-dollar merger and acquisition transaction, as well as on the tax aspects of a cross-border capital repatriation of approximately one billion U.S. dollars. He also participated in the implementation of a cross-border financing structure totaling over 400 million U.S. dollars.  

Outside of his practice, Mr. Coutu enjoys the outdoors and running. He is also a music lover and appreciates culture.
