Jean-Jacques Rancourt

Mr. Jean-Jacques Rancourt has been practicing in the areas of banking Law, security interests, insolvency, and corporate financial restructuring, as well as in the areas of administrative law and municipal bodies, since 1998. Throughout his career, he has also developed expertise in civil, commercial, and shareholder litigation.
Mr. Rancourt regularly advises and represents the Special Accounts and Risk Management Department of the Business Development Bank of Canada and the Desjardins Group. He also represents bankruptcy trustees, insolvent companies, and creditors in various insolvency and business reorganization matters. His expertise in financial restructuring is widely recognized.
Mr. Rancourt holds a bachelor’s degree in law and economics from the University of Montreal and has given various lectures on banking law. He served on the board of directors of the Chambre de commerce de Chicoutimi and is actively involved in his community.
