Saguenay native Laurence Gaudreault has made her mark since being called to the Quebec Bar thanks to her expertise in Municipal and Environmental Law. She works at Cain Lamarre’s Saguenay office, where she is known for providing expert advice and legal counsel to cities and municipalities on a wide range of specialized topics, including land use and urban planning, contract management, municipal taxation and expropriation. Lately, the new protection policy for lakeshores, riverbanks and floodplains has been a major focus in her work as a legal adviser and trainer. Ms. Gaudreault is also involved in litigation and excels at representing her clients before common law courts and public agencies alike. She has proven her ability to effectively defend her clients’ interests time and time again. Ms. Gaudreault stands out for her rigorous approach and dedication to offering pragmatic legal solutions.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Gaudreault has created and delivered numerous training courses for various municipal associations, including the Fédération québécoise des municipalités, the Association des directeurs municipaux du Québec and the Corporation des officiers municipaux agréés du Québec. She has also taught urban planning at the Cégep de Jonquière. She is frequently called upon to give lectures and write specialized articles, thus contributing to the development of legal practice in her field.

Ms. Gaudreault has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Université de Montréal and is recognized for her contributions to her community. Her involvement in teaching and training attests to her desire to share her knowledge and help others in their professional development.
