Louis Carrière

Louis Carrière is a litigation lawyer known for his extensive experience before the courts of Quebec. With over 30 years of practice, he is recognized for his expertise, notably in construction law, bankruptcy and insolvency, as well as in dispute resolution and complex commercial litigation. Since joining Cain Lamarre in 2025, he advises a clientele that includes surety companies, construction contractors, financial institutions, and large companies.

Mr. Carrière’s expertise also extends to mortgage and other security-related matters, as well as banking and insurance law. He is particularly well regarded for his ability to develop effective strategies in high-stakes disputes involving significant technical components and numerous stakeholders. His rigour, method, and judgment are consistently put to good use thanks to his efficiency and dedication. He is frequently consulted for his analytical skills, precision, and consistency in delivering legal advice.

Mr. Carrière has taught at the École du Barreau and has served as a trainer for the Association provinciale des constructeurs d’habitations du Québec (APCHQ), actively contributing to the development of practical knowledge in construction law and ongoing professional education.
