Mathilde Bhérer
Lawyer

Mathilde Bhérer focuses her practice on labour and employment law. She handles cases involving, among other things, the interpretation and application of collective agreements, labour standards legislation, human rights charters, and disciplinary measures or termination of employment. She regularly appears before arbitration tribunals, the Tribunal administratif du travail, and civil courts. As an investigator accredited by the Barreau du Québec, she is authorized to conduct investigations into psychological harassment in the workplace.
Ms. Bhérer also has expertise in regulatory penal law, particularly with respect to offences under labour laws, including those related to the Act respecting occupational health and safety. She has assisted numerous clients in navigating complex and sensitive legal issues stemming from workplace accidents.
Recognized for her clarity of expression and intellectual rigour, she adopts a structured and thoughtful approach tailored to her clients’ realities. Her public sector experience — as a research lawyer at the Cour d’appel du Québec Québec and as a prosecutor with the Chief Electoral Officer — has given her an in-depth understanding of the inner workings of the justice system and institutional processes, which she now applies in private practice.
With several years of experience advising clients from various sectors — including professional services, the public and parapublic sectors, construction, and industries involved in raw material transformation — Ms. Bhérer brings a nuanced and practical perspective. This allows her to deliver strategic advice and effective solutions tailored to each context.
