Nicholas D’Aoust has more than 15 years of experience in business law and commercial litigation. He advises businesses, executives and professionals in the pursuit of their strategic objectives and the management of their legal matters.
His practice focuses on commercial transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, commercial and corporate litigation, corporate governance, as well as administrative and regulatory matters.
Recognized for his strategic and collaborative approach, Mr. D’Aoust advises his clients with pragmatism and rigour. His experience advising business clients, combined with his entrepreneurial background enables him to better understand their business objectives in order to provide legal solutions tailored to their needs and support them in making important decisions.
A graduate of the University of Ottawa’s Civil Law Program, Mr. D’Aoust is a member of both the Québec and Ontario bars. He founded his own law firm in 2014 and led it for more than a decade before joining Cain Lamarre, providing legal services to a diverse clientele and cultivating both a legal and entrepreneurial perspective that remains one of his distinguishing strengths today.
