
Réginal Labonté

Réginal Labonté has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2021, and works in Labour and Employment law at the Montreal office. He represents and advises employers of all sizes and in a wide variety of fields with the management of their human resources, particularly with regards to collective and individual labour relations and occupational health and safety.
With over two years’ experience in administrative investigations, Mr. Labonté also puts this expertise to good use for his clients, most notably in matters concerning psychological harassment, sexual harassment and fundamental rights.
Mr. Labonté, always attentive to his clients’ needs, draws on his experience in governance to offer his clients pragmatic, personalized, well-thought-out solutions to achieve their goals. One of his more notable cases was a successful defence of one of Quebec’s largest brokerage firms in a lawsuit against a former employee.
Mr. Labonté has a joint Civil Law and Juris Doctor degree from McGill University, along with a minor in Sociology. Outside of his work, he is very involved in his community, notably as chair of the board of directors for Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi de Saint-Hubert. He is also a director of the Caisse Desjardins de Saint-Hubert, and of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers – Quebec Chapter. Finally, since 2024, Mr. Labonté has been a member of the Desjardins Group’s President and CEO Youth Advisory Committee, whose mission is to give young people a platform to suggest new ideas and initiatives within the cooperative institution.
