PROFILE
The successful candidate stands out for their rigor and strong organizational and prioritization skills, enabling them to manage multiple files simultaneously. Autonomous and highly client‑service oriented, they enjoy working as part of a team and contributing meaningfully to the success of the office and the department. Experience in labour and employment law will be considered an asset.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist professionals with the technical preparation of immigration law files (including drafting argumentative submissions and completing forms, etc.)
- Ensure the collection and analysis of required documentation from clients
- Coordinate with government portals and or administrative bodies
- Prepare complete and review various temporary and permanent immigration applications
- Participate in client communications and manage the necessary follow‑ups to assemble complete and finalize files
- Proactively monitor regulatory deadlines and timelines
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal immigration‑related processes
SKILLS AND QUALITIES SOUGHT
- College diploma in legal techniques or equivalent experience
- Relevant experience of three (3) years or more in immigration law (experience in labour and employment law is an asset)
- Excellent command of French and English both spoken and written with a regular anglophone clientele
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Autonomous with a strong sense of priorities and excellent overall organizational skills enabling the ability to handle a high workload
- Ability to adapt and deliver work quickly and accurately while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills strong, teamwork abilities, ease in communicating with various stakeholders
- Positive attitude and a client service oriented approach
- Sound judgment, resourcefulness, rigor and attention to detail
