Cain Lamarre is looking for a business law attorney for its Quebec City office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with experienced lawyers and notaries known for their team spirit and multiple high-profile cases. In addition, they will enjoy a high degree of autonomy in carrying out the mandates entrusted to them while benefiting from the support of the team.
In Quebec City, our business law team is made up of more than 20 dynamic professionals who collaborate with over 75 members practicing business law in our other offices and advise clients in many areas of practice: corporate reorganization, commercial and real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting, corporate financing, franchising, cooperative law, corporate ethics and governance, non-profit law, public procurement, intellectual property and high technology, securities, aeronautics, etc. Our extensive and diverse client base includes some of Quebec’s leading companies, public and parapublic organizations, non-profit organizations, cooperatives, and more.
DESIRED PROFILE
In this fast-paced market, our team is looking for a lawyer with experience in business law and a primary interest in commercial transactions and contract drafting. Ideally, the candidate will have at least five years of experience in business law and be able to independently handle large cases. The ideal candidate will be able to interact effectively with clients and be comfortable working in a team.
This person stands out for their thoroughness and sense of organization and priorities, which enable them to manage several cases simultaneously. Versatile and with a strong focus on customer service, they enjoy working in a team and contributing significantly to the success of the firm and its clients. They will enjoy autonomy in carrying out the mandates entrusted to them, while benefiting from the support of the team.
SKILLS AND QUALITIES SOUGHT
• Be a member in good standing of the Quebec Bar Association
• Have between 5 and 10 years of experience in business law (experience in contract and transactional law)
• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
• Good command of English, both spoken and written (regular English-speaking clientele)
• Autonomy and team spirit
• Rigorous, meticulous, and professional
• Analytical and synthesis skills
• Strong writing, negotiation, and representation skills
