PROFILE
Our team is one of the most renowned in real estate law in Quebec. It is composed of dynamic and experienced lawyers and notaries offering integrated services to a diverse clientele. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic lawyer or notary to join our team. This is an opportunity for a candidate who wants to learn and/or deepen their knowledge of real estate law, a rapidly expanding field, and who wants to work on challenging and high-profile cases.
The successful candidate will stand out for their desire to invest themselves and collaborate with a dedicated and passionate team. They will have a minimum of two years of experience in real estate law and be prepared to work on financing, transactions, partnerships, and leasing matters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drafting and negotiating agreements related to real estate transactions (financing, sales, acquisitions)
• Drafting and negotiating partnership agreements: shareholder agreements, limited partnerships, joint ownership agreements, development and management contracts
• Drafting and negotiating commercial, office, and industrial leases
• Developing case management strategies
• Managing cases in collaboration with the team
SKILLS AND QUALITIES SOUGHT
• Member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec
• Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written;
• Good command of English, both spoken and written (regular English-speaking clientele)
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Good negotiation and writing skills
• Organizational skills and sense of responsibility
• Outstanding customer service and a commitment to building long-term relationships with clients and colleagues
• Rigorous, thorough, and professional
• Independent and proactive
• Ability to learn and/or desire to further your knowledge of real estate law;
