Cain Lamarre is looking for a youth protection lawyer for its Val-d’Or office.

Given the nature of the work, which requires frequent travel in Northern Quebec, including Nunavik, the selected candidate may be based in another region of Quebec.

PROFILE

The ideal candidate is adventurous and resourceful. The position involves monthly travel to Inuit communities for a minimum of five days at a time.

The successful candidate also demonstrates excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively as part of a team, including in a remote work environment, in order to integrate well within a dynamic and dedicated youth protection law team. Finally, the selected candidate will benefit from a certain degree of autonomy in carrying out assigned mandates. Experience in the relevant area of practice is therefore required.

SKILLS AND QUALITIES SOUGHT

• Be a member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
• Excellent command of spoken and written French
• Excellent command of spoken and written English (exclusively anglophone clientele)
• Strong sense of organization and responsibility
• Outstanding client service skills
• Ability to manage priorities effectively
• Ability to work as part of a team and to collaborate effectively with partners to achieve objectives and foster a positive work environment
• Strong ability to adapt to various situations, including emergencies, and to demonstrate flexibility in the face of change
