Cain Lamarre is looking for a legal assistant in notarial law for its Rimouski office to assist its professionals in various operations related to the smooth running of the office.

DESIRED PROFILE

The successful candidate will stand out for their attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize, enabling them to manage multiple files simultaneously. Versatile and client-focused, they enjoy working as part of a team and contributing significantly to the firm’s success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist professionals in drafting legal documents (agreements, hypothecs, sales, wills, protection mandates, and others);
  • Prepare financing and sales files;
  • Adapt and customize templates;
  • Do legal research online in various databases (Business Registry, Land Registry, RDPRM, etc.);
  • Follow up on files, deadlines, and schedules;
  • Prepare and publish notarized documents online;
  • Enter timesheets and proactively participate in the billing process;
  • Prepare and send official documentation to clients;
  • Maintain files in accordance with the standards of the Chamber of Notaries;
  • All other related tasks.

SKILLS AND QUALITIES SOUGHT

  • DVS in secretarial studies or relevant work experience;
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience;
  • Excellent mastery of French, both spoken and written;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.);
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and good work methods;
  • Ability to manage priorities, work quickly and efficiently;
  • Good stress management and ability to work under pressure;
  • Autonomy and initiative;
  • Collaboration and teamwork;
  • Ability to handle files confidentially.
