Cain Lamarre is currently seeking a Paralegal to support our teams across various practice areas in our Abitibi-Témiscamingue offices (Rouyn-Noranda and Val-d’Or).

 

PROFILE SOUGHT

The selected candidate stands out for their ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the success of all Abitibi teams. Their rigor, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize allow them to manage multiple files simultaneously. Autonomous and customer-service oriented, we are looking for someone eager to learn who will primarily support the current team of legal assistants to optimize everyone’s work and begin their journey with our firm.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle incoming correspondence and document filing
  • Open files and ensure follow-ups Coordinate certain file follow-ups, deadlines, and schedules
  • Prepare, assist with, and review various documents and correspondence
  • May provide backup at the reception desk, etc.
  • Perform clerical tasks related to their department
  • Contact clients to obtain specific information

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • DEP in secretarial studies OR relevant work experience
  • Excellent command of French
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written (regular English-speaking clientele)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage priorities
  • Ability to work as part of a team and foster a positive work environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
