DESIRED PROFILE

The ideal candidate will stand out for their thoroughness and organizational skills, as well as their ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Versatile and customer service-oriented, they enjoy working in a team and contributing significantly to the office’s success.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft witness statements from notes or dictation
  • Prepare preliminary reports and appendices from documents, notes, and statements, and submit them to the lawyer
  • Ensure that summons letters, confidentiality agreements, and official communications are prepared and sent to the relevant parties
  • Compile and organize evidence (documents, photos, recordings)
  • Prepare summary tables of facts and testimony
  • Prepare case summaries to facilitate decision-making
  • Follow up on delegated tasks and follow up with stakeholders
  • Prepare and organize investigation files, ensuring that all relevant documents are included
  • Consult timelines and ensure that deliverables are provided in a timely manner to enable the lawyer to complete the file on time
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive data
  • Perform all other related tasks

 

SKILLS AND QUALITIES SOUGHT

  • College diploma in legal techniques or equivalent experience
  • Practical experience in a similar position: an asset
  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written (regular English-speaking clientele)
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Autonomy and team spirit
  • Organizational skills and sense of responsibility
  • Outstanding customer service
  • Rigorous, meticulous, and professional
  • Ability to manage priorities
  • Excellent writing skills
