PROFILE SOUGHT

The firm is seeking a dedicated advisor to support the development of its legal professionals. This key role aims to design, implement, and evaluate training and coaching initiatives aligned with the needs of early-career professionals and the firm’s excellence objectives.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify the development needs of legal professionals in collaboration with practice group leaders, managing partners, and managers of complementary teams (knowledge management, business development, human capital, etc.) 
  • Implement, oversee, and ensure ongoing support and follow-up for the mentorship program 
  • Develop structured training pathways (legal and transversal skills, career management, etc.) 
  • Deliver training sessions and facilitate workshops 
  • Promote continuous learning among legal professionals and, as needed, provide individual guidance and coaching regarding professional development, practice management, and career progression within the firm 
  • Measure the impact of initiatives and adjust programs based on results and feedback 
  • Work closely with human capital, practice group leaders, managing partners, and management teams to ensure strategic alignment and maximize the career progression of legal professionals 
  • Stay informed of best practices in professional development within the legal sector

 

SKILLS AND QUALITIES SOUGHT

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in law, organizational development, human resources management, or a related field 
  • Member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec (an asset) 
  • Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec (an asset) 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional development, ideally within a law firm or a professional services environment 
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills 
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with early-career professionals 
  • Collaborative, strategic, and impact-driven mindset 
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to travel to the firm’s various office locations
