Cain Lamarre is looking for a Professional Development Assistant assistant to join its Montreal office.

DESIRED PROFILE

Reporting to the Professional Practice Manager, the Professional Development Assistant acts as a resource person for processes related to professional orders, including continuous education and the annual declaration to the Quebec Bar. They coordinate programs and projects supervised by the team, support practice group initiatives, participate in the organization of succession activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes. They also provide administrative support to team members.

The successful candidate will stand out for their thoroughness and sense of organization and priorities, which will enable them to manage several files simultaneously. Versatile and with a strong focus on customer service, they enjoy working as part of a team and contributing significantly to the success of the office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a resource person for processes related to professional orders (continuous education, annual declaration to the Quebec Bar, etc.);
  • Coordinate processes related to programs and projects supervised by the team;
  • Support initiatives for the firm’s various practice groups;
  • Coordinate processes related to professional development programs and various projects led by the team;
  • Participate in organizing activities for the firm’s next generation;
  • Participate in process improvement;
  • Ensure that the content of the team and practice group pages on the intranet is up to date and collaborate on the drafting of various content;
  • Collaborate with the Cain Lamarre Campus team and the Knowledge Management team;
  • Provide administrative support to team members;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

 

SKILLS AND QUALITIES SOUGHT
  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) or undergraduate university degree (BAC) in administration or a related field;
  • Have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in administration or any other relevant experience;
  • Experience in a professional services environment (an asset);
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French;
  • Organizational skills, thoroughness, and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities;
  • Good analytical, synthesis, and initiative skills;
  • Autonomy and team spirit;
  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in continuous improvement.
