PROFILE

We are looking for a member of the Barreau du Québec or the Chambre des notaires to join our team dedicated to knowledge management and professional practice transformation. This person will be responsible for creating, managing, and improving the legal document templates used by our business law group.
They will play a decisive and strategic role within our business law team, working closely with its members on legal considerations surrounding the drafting of precedents for the practice group and the implementation of innovative knowledge management tools for this group.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  •  Collaborate with members of the business law group to review and develop templates and document high-quality precedents that meet the specific needs of our clientele
  • Orchestrate and coordinate a business law monitoring structure to maintain a database of templates that comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Support and train lawyers on best practices in contract drafting
  • Participate in the collection, organization, and dissemination of legal content for the business law practice group
  • Prepare and deliver training on the use of templates, forms, and precedents, as well as on the operation of tools for integrating them into internal legal processes
  • Provide support and advice on their application and answer questions related to their use
  • Test various technology platforms and collaborate in the process of implementing these platforms
  • Collaborate with members of the firm’s knowledge management team to support ongoing knowledge management projects

SKILLS AND QUALITIES SOUGHT

  • Member of the Chambre des notaires or member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
  • Excellent command of English and French, both spoken and written
  • Autonomy and team spirit
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in business law, including at least 5 years in a private firm or in litigation
  • Solid experience in mergers, acquisitions, and/or corporate organizations
  • Excellent ability to structure legal information and strong interest in technology
  • Ease with digital tools
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness, and professionalism
  • Strong writing skills
