Karl Jessop

Karl Jessop is a partner at Cain Lamarre, whose clients benefit from his extensive expertise and wide-ranging skills in Labour and Employment Law and labour relations. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations and is a Certified Industrial Relations Counsellor (CIRC), member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines et en relations industrielles agréés du Québec.

In the course of his practice, Mr. Jessop has become an expert at negotiating collective agreements in a variety of sectors and acted as legal counsel before all the courts, from the Superior Court to the Tribunal administratif du travail, as well as in grievance arbitration, cases involving unionization, the application and interpretation of collective agreements, and the imposition of disciplinary measures.

Mr. Jessop represents both public and private clients in a wide variety of sectors such as manufacturing, transportation, retail, healthcare and higher education.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Jessop has handled many important cases at both the provincial and federal levels, including the negotiation of major collective agreements in different sectors and the representation of clients in unionization and collective agreement interpretation cases. He has used his expertise in conflict management and grievance arbitration to help his clients reach favourable agreements and maintain harmonious working relationships.
