Guy C. Dion is a partner in the Quebec City office, where he represents private-sector employers subject to provincial and federal regulations, as well as small and medium-sized businesses. His practice is divided between labor and employment law and commercial law, with particular expertise in litigation.
Mr. Dion regularly advises executives in the manufacturing industry, auto dealers, and members of associations related to the automotive and construction sectors. He is recognized by his clients for his extensive experience with extraordinary remedies, particularly injunctions, seizures, and searches, as well as for his in-depth knowledge of disputes between manufacturers and dealers.
He provides legal advice on a wide range of employment-related issues and frequently appears before specialized tribunals, grievance arbitrators, the Superior Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court.
A regular conference speaker, Mr. Dion participates in numerous seminars on labor law. He addresses a variety of topics, such as employment contracts, labor standards, terminations, severance pay, sexual and psychological harassment, and absenteeism in the workplace.
With a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Law degree from Université Laval, Mr. Dion is a member of the Barreau du Québec, the Barreau canadien, and the Association provinciale des constructeurs d’habitations du Québec (APCHQ).
