We are seeking to welcome an Employment and Labour Law Partner to join our Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean team. The position includes an established client base, with the opportunity to contribute actively to its further development and to the expansion of the firm’s regional practice.

Employment and labour law lies at the very core of human relations within organisations. It addresses concrete and sensitive issues such as day-to-day workforce management, conflict prevention and resolution, occupational health and safety, and the evolving legal obligations of employers.

YOUR ROLE ON DAILY BASIS
In your role as an Employment and Labour Law Partner, you will be called upon to:
- Act as a legal and strategic advisor to employers on labour relations matters, including employment standards, internal policies, disciplinary management and union management relations
- Represent and plead cases in employment and labour law before administrative tribunals and courts of general jurisdiction
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with clients, particularly HR teams, senior management and key decision‑makers
- Contribute to the prevention of disputes through legal opinions, investigations, training initiatives and managerial support
- Participate actively in the development and visibility of the Employment and Labour Law practice in the Saguenay–Lac‑Saint‑Jean region
- Assume a leadership, mentoring and supervisory role within the team
- Evolve within a collaborative team, working on varied, practical matters closely aligned with the realities of regional workplaces
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
- Membership in the Barreau du Québec
- Significant experience (minimum of seven years) in employment and labour law
- Demonstrated strong leadership abilities, a well‑developed business acumen and sound professional judgement
- Strong client relationship skills and the ability to provide advice that is clear, structured and tailored to client needs
- A strong commitment to teamwork, collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Excellent command of French, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in English is considered an asset
