PROFILE SOUGHT
The Human Capital Advisor supports managers (directors/partners) and employees (support staff, paralegals, and professionals) on a variety of human resources matters. The incumbent conducts research, performs preliminary analyses, and develops initial drafts of tools, policies, and practices related to human resources management (HRM). They actively contribute to the implementation of procedures and processes within their area of expertise. They participate in special HR-related projects as well as strategic and engaging initiatives within their designated client groups.

This individual will be responsible for managing human capital operations within their assigned territories (Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda, and Outaouais) while ensuring alignment with the strategic directions set by the Human Capital leadership team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the advancement of the strategic plan in collaboration with the Human Capital leadership team
- Actively participate in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs, procedures, and policies across various human capital areas, ensuring alignment with the Human Capital department’s strategic plan as well as the specific needs of the assigned client group
- Act as a steward in the interpretation and implementation of the firm’s programs, policies, and strategic orientations
- Oversee the day-to-day management of human resources in close collaboration with Human Capital Technicians, as well as territorial managing partners and practice group leaders
- Ensure the effective functioning and performance of support and administrative staff, as well as the overall smooth operation of the office
- Coordinate, in collaboration with Human Capital colleagues, the full performance evaluation cycle for support staff, paralegals, and professionals, as well as the salary review and bonus processes
- Implement employee engagement and recognition strategies for support staff and professionals in collaboration with other Human Capital teams
- Work closely with the Human Capital leadership team on workforce-related matters
- Participate in HR projects related to various themes and priorities, such as diversity and inclusion, total rewards, health and well-being, and employer branding
- Perform any other related duties associated with human capital management
SKILLS AND QUALITIES SOUGHT
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, human resources management, business administration, or an equivalent field
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources management, with experience in a professional services environment considered an asset
- Member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (an asset)
- Demonstrate engaging leadership
- Be flexible and available to travel regularly within the two territories (Val-d’Or and Rouyn-Noranda) and, as needed, to Gatineau
- Possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Be proficient in the use of various computer tools
- Exhibit strong judgment and solid analytical and synthesis skills
- Demonstrate the ability to solve problems and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Show a strong sense of organisation and responsibility
