Our office is experiencing sustained growth, and we are seeking a labour and employment lawyer to join our team.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in close collaboration with a team of professionals across the province within the practice group, who are recognized for their expertise, team spirit, and the high‑profile matters entrusted to them by our clients.

 

PROFILE

The successful candidate stands out for their rigor and strong organizational and prioritization skills, enabling them to manage multiple files simultaneously. Versatile and highly client‑service oriented, they enjoy working as part of a team and contributing meaningfully to the success of the office and its clients.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent clients before various administrative labour relations bodies as well as before civil courts in any matter relating to employment law and occupational health and safety law
  • Provide legal advice and opinions in labour law employment law and occupational health and safety law
  • Interpret labour and employment legislation and regulations occupational health and safety legislation as well as collective agreements
  • Contribute as required to administrative investigations

 

SKILLS AND QUALITIES SOUGHT

  • Member of the Barreau du Québec
  • Have between 3 and 10 years of experience in labour law
  • Experience pleading before the Tribunal administratif du travail, in grievance arbitration, as well as before civil courts (an asset)
  • Excellent command of French both spoken and written
  • Demonstrate autonomy, professionalism, and rigour
  • Have strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • Show strong abilities in legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy
  • Be a team player
