Jean-Jacques Rancourt practices in the fields of banking law, securities, insolvency, and financial restructuring for businesses and in administrative law for municipal bodies. He has developed expertise in civil, commercial, and shareholder litigation.
He regularly advises and represents the special accounts and risk management department of Business Development Bank of Canada and Desjardins Group in cases involving restructuring, insolvency of debtor businesses, and the recovery of advances, including securities realization. He also represents trustees in bankruptcy, insolvent companies, and creditors in a range of cases involving insolvency, creditor proposals, and business reorganizations.
